Obituary of June D. Connor

June Davidson Connor, 79, of 4276 Fluvanna Townline Road passed away Monday April 15, 2013 in her home. She was born June 5, 1933 in Salford, Manchester, England the daughter of the late Peter Smith and Dousia Hunt Davidson. At age 7, she evacuated to Lake District during WWII. While in England, June trained as a seamstress. She worked at Fashion Clothes, Lerners Credit Dept., set up the Cafeteria for Bush Industries, and was Forelady at AVM Corp. Surviving are her husband, Thomas Connor whom she married December 1950; a son, Michael (Erika) Connor of Randolph; six grandchildren, Kelly of Jamestown; Scott (Briana) of Kennedy; Erik MD of Dansville, PA; Erin, Chelsea, and Sean all of Randolph. June has numerous nieces, in England, Scotland, and Australia, including nieces, Marie B. Sheldon and Dorothy Watson, both of England. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, George, Peter, Raymond, Clifford, Ada, Doris, Jim, and John. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday April 21, 2013 in the Lind Funeral Home where a private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
