Obituary of Ilona Bogardi

Ilona Bogardi, 95, formerly of 1451 Winch Road in Lakewood, died at 4:00 a.m. Sunday (March 28, 2010) at Heritage Green Rehab & Skilled Nursing. She was the widow of Charles Bogardi who died November 24, 1979. Ilona was born August 28, 1914 in Budapest, Hungary and came to the United States in 1957. She became a U.S. citizen in 1965. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Surviving is a daughter, Anna (Hubert) Kutschke of Lakewood; five grandchildren: Ilona (Mark) Stanley, Thomas, Phillip and Joseph Kutschke, and Linda (Lance) Deming; seven great-grandchildren: Amanda, Jessica and Sasha Kutschke, Jason Stanley, Amber Kutschke, and Patrick and Christine Deming; and a great-great-granddaughter, Ava Kutschke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Msgr. Joseph M. Dowdell will be celebrant. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Church, 380 E. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, NY 14750.
