Obituary of Herbert J. Clark

Herbert J. Clark, 82, of 100 Lakeview Ave., formerly of Bath, NY died Friday March 26, 2010, in his home. He was born January 19, 1928, in Belmont, NY, a son of the late Hugh and Hazel Tidd Clark. He was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1946-47. He spent most of his working years as a truck driver, most recently for BDR Trucking, Bells Falls, VT and Land Air Trucking, Windsor, VT. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. Surviving are three children Susan (Skip) Lanphere of Lakewood, John (Sunny) Clark of West Palm Beach, FL and Jeanne (Ed) Moiser of Salamanca, two stepsons John (Linda) Stankevich and Randy (Robin) Stankevich, both of Claremont, NH, four grandchildren Tom Taylor of Salamanca, Bobbie Jo Thwing of Fredonia, Tami Peterson of Jamestown and Tonya Hosack of Jamestown, four step grandchildren Cassie, Randy Jr., Ashley and Seth Stankevich, eight great grandchildren Bryce Peterson, Savannah Moon, Michael Santamaria, Sierra Hosack, Xander Slade, Braiden Kennedy and Audrianna and Michael Taylor, two sisters Corretha Lucas of Moore, OK and Grace Johnson of Caneadea, NY and four nephews Paul and Terry Johnson both of East Koy, NY, Albert Johnson of Caneadea, NY and Wayne Johnson of Oramel, NY Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife the former Carla Spicer, who died May 10, 2003 and a sister Beulah Mitchell. The funeral will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Doanld E. Ray will officiate. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service Wednesday in the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Springfield, VT.
