Obituary of Audrey R. Anderson
Audrey Rowan Anderson, 93, formerly of 4 Laurie Lane, died Thursday April 8, 2010, in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center.
A Jamestown native, she was born September 19, 1916, a daughter of Per and Louise Undberg Hoglin.
She was a 1935 graduate of Cassadaga High School.
She was secretary/treasurer for many years at the family business Walter Rowan Concrete.
She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Kiwanis Wives, Shrine Ladies, Eastern Star, Marvin Community House and Zonta Club.
She enjoyed her family and friends and was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are a son Bruce (Mary Ann) Rowan of Jamestown, a daughter Gale (L. James) Rowan Taylor, a step son Thomas (Cheryl) Anderson, nine grandchildren Timothy (Stacy) Rowan, Kelly (James) Powell and Dr. Carrie (Jamie Zaranek) Rowan, all of Jamestown, Christina (Jeff) Salasny of Binghamton, NY, Dr. Lisa (Mike) Hustead of Leesburg, VA, John (Lisa) Taylor of Lexington, KY, Dr. Erin (Dr. Juan Teodoro) Taylor of Bonita Springs, FL, Jay (Melissa) Taylor of Bemus Point, NY and Bonnie Anderson of West Palm Beach, FL, thirteen great grandchildren Caleb and Brody Rowan, Adam Powell, Brynn, Emily and Mylie Zaranek, Rachel DeAngelo, Taylor, Nicholas and Noah Hustead, Owen and MaKenzie Taylor and Lauren Teodoro, a brother Cortney (Helen) Hoglin of Jamestown and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Walter P. Rowan, whom she married June 24, 1939 and who died August 1965, her second husband Paul E. Anderson, whom she married March 10, 1079 and who died January 25, 1992, a sister Murdeen McIntyre and two nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday June 29, 2010 in the Lind Funeral Home. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
