Obituary of Mary A. Rubner
Mary A. Rubner, 81, of 118 W. 2nd St, Hanover, IN, formerly of 842 N. Main St, Jamestown, died Saturday April 10, 2010, in King's Daughters Hospital, Madison, IN.
She was born January 25, 1929, in Union City, PA, the daughter of George and Ethel Shreve Buntenbah.
She was a 1947 graduate of Jamestown High School.
Prior to her retirement in 1989, she was employed by the former Lakewood Super Duper as assistant head cashier.
She was a member of Retired Senior Volunteer Program and Home Bureau. She had also volunteered at the Cancer Treatment Center.
Surviving are two daughters Sandra L. Koehler and Susan L. Becker, both of Hanover IN, four grandchildren Scott A. Koehler, Sarah and Adam Becker and Andrea Lamb, two great grandchildren, a brother Thomas Buntenbah of Canyon City, CO and a sister Grace Kerrick of Fairfax, VA.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Richard Lamb, whom she married July 1947 and who died October 21, 1964, her second husband Milton Rubner, whom she married May 1968 and who died March 7, 1975, a son Steven Lamb, April 3, 2000 and a sister Alice Langham January 2002.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. Msgr. Joseph M. Dowdell, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lakewood, will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
