Obituary of Margaret Kote Page
Margaret Kote Page, 87, of 1517 Hunt Road Apartments, formerly of 35 Chapman St., died at 10:15 a.m. Sunday (April 18, 2010) in the Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility.
A lifelong area resident, she was born September 14, 1922 in Jamestown the daughter of the late Louis and Helen Andrews Kote.
Margaret was a 1941 graduate of Jamestown High School. From 1974 until 1995, she along with her husband Tom, owned and operated Page's Motel in Lakewood. She was a member of St. Elia Albanian Orthodox Church where she sang in the choir, held many offices including president, and was a member of the Ladies Society. She was also a member of the Mozart Club.
Marge was known for her generosity, abundant love, and spending summers at the lake where she will be sadly missed.
Surviving are her daughter, Marilyn Page Frick (Eric) of Hickory, NC; her son, Peter L. Page of Celoron; two grandsons, Peter L. Page II and Alex Frick; five step granddaughters; a brother, Peter R. Kote (Anita) of Murrells Inlet, SC; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas P. Page whom she married May 18, 1947 and who died September 1, 2005; and her son Lawrence T. "Larry" Page who died March 8, 2009.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Elia Albanian Orthodox Church. The Very Rev. Spero Page will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home where a Trisagion Prayer Service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday. .
