Obituary of Virginia E. Larson

Virginia E. Larson, 85, formerly of 183 Myrtle Street and the Frewsburg Rest Home, died Wednesday April 21, 2010, in Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing. She was born July 17, 1924 in Geneva, NY, daughter of Harold L. Eno and Gladys Tiffany Eno- Townsend. She was a 1943 graduate of Jamestown High School. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Jacobson Weakly-Olson as a clerk and bookkeeper. She earlier had worked for Dahlstrom's. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and the former Westminster Presbyterian Church. Surviving are a son Harold W. Larson of Enon, OH; two daughters, Linda C. Lynn of Jamestown and Diane (Steven) Rhodes of Lakewood. Also surviving her are seven grandchildren: Whitney D. Larson of Columbus, OH, Christopher (Ann) Lynn, Scott (Shannon) Lynn and Jason (Billie Jo) Lynn, all of Frewsburg Tiffany Lynn of Jamestown, J. Michael Brown of Mt. Pleasant, NC and Rachael (Justin) Penton of Erie, PA; eight great grandchildren and a step sister Mary Hendrickson of West Ellicott. She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Milton Larson, whom she married July 7, 1946 and who died June 14, 1987, a stepfather, Loren Townsend and a stepsister Lorraine Inserra. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Ronald A. Lemon, pastor of Koinonia Christian Fellowship, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Thursday and for one hour prior to the service Friday in the funeral home.
