Obituary of Berdina M. Bolling

Berdina M. Bolling, 84, died Sunday afternoon, May 9, 2010 in her home on Chautauqua Lake with her children at her bedside. She was born in Sheridan, NY on October 1, 1925, the daughter of Ernest and Martha Gehrke Berndt. She graduated from Forestville High School Class of 1943 and SUNY Fredonia in 1947. She taught elementary school in Kenmore, Falconer and Kennedy for over thirty years. She enjoyed growing flowers and vegetables, being out in nature and caring for her family. She made wonderful pies. She married Warren G. Bolling July 6, 1948 in Silver Creek, NY and who died July 26, 2009. Also preceding her in death are her parents and two brothers and their wives Edmund and Cathryn Berndt and Arthur and Helen Berndt. Surviving is a son Eric (Debbie) Bolling of Jamestown, a daughter Kristen (Chris) Gorbach of Belen, NM; three grandchildren Andrew (Suzanne) Bolling of Latham, NY, Lauren Bolling of Pittsburgh, PA and Meredith Bolling of Jamestown; and a great grandson Jackson Andrew Bolling of Latham, NY. Her entire family is very thankful for the care provided by Dr. Patrick Collins and Hospice of Chautauqua County. A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor William Blair of New Creation Assembly of God Church, will officiate. Interment will be next to her husband in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
