I love you and miss you Dad! I won't ever forget as a small boy waiting with Mom and my brothers for you to go on your lunch break from the hot line at Corborendum and you would walk out with your fire retardant suit
Boots, Helmet and shield and all the molten steel and showers of red hot sparks falling on and around you I thought it was awesome and you walked with a swagger and strut in your walk you looked like a super hero and you would be peeling off that suit as you walked towards us your face completely black from soot. You worked harder then than anyone that I know even til today. I will always be proud of you and proud to be called your son. I hope that I can be at least half the man you were and make you proud. You will always be my super hero and I walk with that same swagger and strut in my walk because your blood courses through my veins. Thank you for making me the man I am and continue to be. I look forward to walking with you again someday.
Your proud son
Benjamin

After the clouds, the sunshine,
after the winter, the spring,
after the shower, the rainbow,
for life is a changeable thing.
After the night, the morning,
bidding all darkness cease,
after life's cares and sorrows,
the comfort and sweetness of peace.

I thought of you with love today but that is nothing new
I thought about you yesterday and days before that too,
I think of you in silence I often speak your name
All I have are memories and your picture in a frame
Your memory is my keepsake with which I’ll never part
God has you in His keeping I have you in my heart.

I see your smile of the past
You would always make us laugh
Life was forever free
And you were all you could be
Then came time
There were burdens to share
Sadly those you could not bear
Deep within your mind you went
You became not who you truly were
Life became dark
The substance took over
Your eyes filled with tears
The pain was forever
The memories of the past are clear
And when we see tomorrow
You will be nowhere near
When we look for your smile
All we see is the sorrow
But what has happened has brought us close
The memories of your life will always live on
With the sparkle in your eyes
And a smile on your face
In our hearts you have filled a special place
So when we think of you
We will forever reflect back
To who you once were

My sympathy is with the family at this time. Although I never met Bryan (my third cousin through the Burch line), I new his dad and went to school with him. Bryan's love of cars naturally came from his racing father. May God's peace sustain the family now and in the future.
