Obituary of Virginia B. Wilson
Virginia B. Wilson, 93, formerly of Ashville Bay, died at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday (June 15, 2010) at the Lutheran Home & Rehabilitation Center.
She was the widow of Woodrow K. Wilson whom she married April 10, 1937 and who died April 7, 1972.
Virginia was born August 24, 1916 in Evenwood, WV, the daughter of the late Chester and Lena Teter Foy, and graduated from Randolph High School in 1935.
She had been a member of Ashville United Methodist Church and active in United Methodist Women. She also belonged to the North Harmony Senior Citizens, Rebekah Lodge, AARP and the Lioness Club of Jamestown.
Surviving are two daughters, Susan J. (William) Allshouse of Busti and Barbara J. Wilson of Crystal River, FL; a son, James L. (Josanne) Wilson of Jamestown; ten grandchildren: Shawn P. Allshouse and Nancy L. Allshouse-Carnes, both of Jamestown, Pamela J. Duer, Mark A. and Sheri L. Wilson, each of Las Vegas, NV, and Christopher A., Stephanie J., Jennica L., Brandon T. and Benjamin M. Wilson, all of Jamestown; and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son, Donald K. Wilson and a brother, John Foy.
The funeral will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 22nd in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Daniel S. Rumfelt will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home Tuesday.
