Obituary of Howard C. Fraser

Howard C. Fraser 87, of 4330 Comet Court Oviedo Fl. Formerly of Greenhurst N.Y. past away at 11.00 am on Thursday June 17, 2010 at his son's house in Florida. Howard was born on March 10, 1923 in Walworth N.Y. the son of Fredrick Fraser & Emma Bushnell Fraser. Mr. Fraser was the husband of Edith E Fraser who he married on June 2,1956. He was employed at CARTS as a volunteer to assist the elderly, and previously with Shultz Auto in Jamestown for 20 years. Mr. Fraser was Honorable discharge from the Army where he served in Africa, Sicily, Naples Foggia, Rome Arno Tunisia, PO Valley, North Apennines, and France. Howard received the European African Middle Eastern Services Medal along with the Good conduct medal. Mr. Fraser was a member of the Fluvanna Community Church, and previously with the Boy Scouts of America. Surviving is a daughter Cheryl Terry of Largo Fl.4 sons Daniel R (Carole)Fraser of Cheyenne WY. Brian C Fraser of Boynton Beach Fl. Steven W Fraser of Oviedo Fl. William E.(Elizabeth)Fraser of N.Y.12 grandchildren & 13 great grandchildren. Mr. Fraser was preceded in death by his son Fredrick Fraser and his wife Edith Fraser. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at the Fluvanna Community Church. The Rev, Dayle F. Keefer, will officiate. Burial will be in the Fluvanna Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6-8 on Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. The family suggests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 101 John James Audubon Pkwy, Amherst, N.Y. 14228-1198.
