Obituary of Raymond Lucas

Raymond Lucas, 88, of 91 Harris Ave., died Thursday February 18, 2010, in his home. He was the son of Arthur and Mabel Randall Lucas. A Jamestown resident since 1982, he had worked for Allied Industries on Jones and Gifford Ave. He was a very proud African-American who enjoyed playing cards, collecting model cars and baseball caps and eating chicken wings. His ever present smile and sense of humor were contagious to anyone who ever was fortunate enough to have known him. Surviving are the Gruber family of Lander, PA as well as his friends and housemates at Harris Avenue. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Cathy Basile, Hospice Chaplain, will officiate. Burial will be in Foster Cemetery, Lander, PA. Friends will be received from 9-11 a.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to TRC or American Diabetes Association.
