Obituary of Pauline Giambra

Pauline Giambra, 89, formerly of 469 Hunt Rd. W.E. passed away at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday (February 10, 2010) in the Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. A lifelong area resident she was born February 23, 1920 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Ross Benzi. She was a communicant of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lakewood where she enjoyed attending mass and other church activities. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother who was very devoted to her family and her extended family throughout the years. Surviving are three daughters Kathleen (Charles) Anderson of Lakewood, NY, Charlotte (Robert) Trott of Bridgeville, DE, Joan (David) Hough of Spring Lake, MI, 5 grandchildren Clark (Shannon) Anderson of San Diego, CA, Lori (Jared) Scott of Jessup, MD, Ryan Trott of Brooklyn, NY, Chad (Amy) Hough of Long Beach, CA, Jody (Jeremy) Thelen of Spring Lake, MI and her four great grandchildren Lucas Scott, Bryson Hough, Ani Hough, Emerson Thelen. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Charles G. Giambra whom she married October 21, 1940 and who died October 1, 2008, a sister Louise Angelo-Santo and a brother Arthur Benzi. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the convenience of the family in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Msgr. Joseph M. Dowdell, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church will be celebrant. Burial will be in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed. Memorials may be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 380 East Fairmount Ave. Lakewood, NY 14750. Arrangements are by the Lind Funeral Home.
