Obituary of Isabelle A. Jones

Isabelle A. Jones, 89, of 18 Ohio St. died at 8:10 p.m. Saturday (February 6, 2010) in the Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. A lifelong area resident she was born August 29, 1920 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late Emil O. and Marie H. Johnson Jones. She was a graduate of Jamestown High School and before her retirement was a clerk for the former Jamestown Telephone Company and its successor's. She was a lifetime member of the Bethel Lutheran Church and will be remembered as one who loved to read, crochet and watch old movies. She was also a very generous and giving person who will be sadly missed by her friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her father who died April 8, 1976 and her mother who died October 3, 1987. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Norman R. Gauch, pastor of the Bethel Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
