Obituary of Luella L. Davis

Luella L. Davis, 95, formerly of 19 Hern Ave. Lakewood, NY and Loyalton of Lakewood, passed away at 7:30 p.m. Saturday (June 26, 2010) in the Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born in Jamestown, NY on April 20, 1915 a daughter of the late Rudolph and Gertrude Swanson Lofgren. From 1965 to 1980 she and her late husband lived in Cupertino, CA where she had worked for the McWhorters Stationary Store. In earlier years she had also worked for the May Company in Maple Heights, OH. She attended the Bemus Point United Methodist Church for several years. Surviving are a son Robert G. (Myrna) Davis of Canal Winchester, OH, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Gordon L. Davis whom she married May 9, 1933 and who died March 12, 2001, a daughter Diane Velimesis, two sisters Mary Jane Waugaman, Betty O'Neil and two brothers Richard and Robert Lofgren. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Inurnment will be in the Lake View Cemetery.
