Obituary of Delbert F. Reeves

Delbert F. Reeves, Jr., 82 of Lakewood, passed away Tuesday (June 29, 2010) in WCA Hospital. A Jamestown native, he was born March 17, 1928, the son of the late Delbert Sr. and Hazel McCaslin Reeves. He attended and graduated from Celoron High School. Delbert was honorably discharged from the US Air Force in 1949 where he served as a diagnostician and mechanic who was certified for nine different aircraft. He was a self employed contractor, owned and operated Del Reeves Mechanical and earlier had worked for Flickenger's for over 20 years. Surviving are Margaret Ryan, his companion of over 35 years; daughters Linda (Jack) McCray and Rhonda (Randy) Nelson; sons Scott Reeves and William (Darcy) Reeves; brothers Rev. Robert Reeves and Roger Reeves; a sister Virginia Hayes; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and his beloved dogs Molly and Peanut. He was preceded in death by brothers Jerry and Patrick Reeves and a sister Violet Reed. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
