Obituary of Vincent P. Chebetar, Jr.

Vincent P. Chebetar, Jr., 64, of 996 Arnett Blvd., Rochester died Monday, June 28, 2010 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. He was the husband of Jane Radack Chebetar whom he married August 5, 1989. He was born August 23, 1945 in Columbus, GA, a son of F. Christine Broderick Chebetar and the late Vincent Chebetar Sr. Vincent was a veteran of the US Army, serving as an MP during the Vietnam War. A graduate of Syracuse University and resident of Rochester since 1986, he had worked as a consulting forester for many years. He was a member of the Society of American Foresters and the Association of Consulting Foresters. Along with his wife, Jane, surviving are his mother of Columbus, GA; two children, Michele (Todd) Paulson of Jay, NY and Steven Chebetar of Lake George, NY; two grandchildren, Daniel and Maia; five brothers: Richard, T. Adam (Jane), Edward (Nancy), John (Maureen) and James Chebetar; and three sisters: Sarah (William) Chamberlain, Barbara (James) Macedo and Christine McKay. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Chebetar. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. John L. Kuhlman will be celebrant. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home, where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 7:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association, Heart Gifts Center, P.O.
