Obituary of Maximo Richard White

Maximo Richard "Max" White, 76, formerly of 1205 W. Third St., died Friday January 29, 2010, in Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing. He was born July 5, 1933, in Sharon, PA, a son of the late Frank and Margaret Visnyai White. Following high school graduation, he received a degree in Liberal Arts from Youngstown State University. He was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1953-55. He was employed by Richman Brothers as Store manager for 37 years and later worked for Kerr's Furniture for 14 years. He was a member of Lakewood Memorial Post #1286 American Legion and John W. Tiffany Post #53 VFW. Surviving are his wife the former Nancy Lehn, whom he married February 8, 1958, a son Jeffrey (Gracie) White of Jamestown, a daughter Patrice (Michael) Heath, of Jamestown, four grandchildren Jennifer and Jeremy White and Adam and Sydney Neubauer, three great grandsons and two brothers Frank White of Gulf Port, MS and Thomas White of New Castle, PA. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Robert White. The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Samuel Shreffler, Heritage Village Chaplain, will officiate. Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to The Heritage Group, 3017 N.
