Obituary of Michael John Kestler

Michael John Kestler, 57, of 243 Dunham Ave Jamestown, died at 9:44 a.m. Sunday (January 10, 2010) in WCA Hospital. He was born August 6, 1952 in Jamestown the son of the late George and Betty Fagerstrom Kestler. Michael was employed at the Resource Center for 16 years and at Falconer Metal for 9 years. He was a devoted father and grandfather. He also coached Special Olympics and enjoyed Sunday golf with his brother Tom, and lifetime friend, Bub. He is survived by three daughters, Melissa Kestler, Miranda Kestler, and Julia Kestler all of Jamestown; three grandchildren, Conrad and Logan Swanson and Savanna Kestler; two brothers, Greg Kestler (Lorraine) of Port St. Lucie, FL; Tom Kestler (Robin) of Watts Flats; a sister, Kathy Landy (Glen Macey) of Cambridge, MD; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor Warren VanDewark will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
