Obituary of Monie L. Meabon

Monie L. Meabon, 38, of 122 Park St, died Tuesday December 15, 2009. A Jamestown native, he was born December 4, 1971, a son of Monie and Vickie Pike Meabon. He was a 1990 graduate of Jamestown High School and was employed by D & S Glass. For several years he was self employed owning M.L. Meabon Contracting. He was a smart, kind and gentle man who loved music, history, hunting and camping. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Nascar especially Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Surviving besides his parents are his wife the former Dawn LeBarron, whom he married July 2, 1992, three daughters Amber, Ashlen and Alexa Meabon, three brothers Jason Meabon of Jamestown, Joshua Meabon of Gerry and David Meabon of Ellington, and two sisters Pamela Meabon of Randolph and Trisha Meabon of Ellington. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
