Obituary of Lori C. King

ASHVILLE - Lori C. King, 49, of Ashville, NY died Monday, December 21, 2009, at home following a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer. She was born January 31, 1960, in Jamestown, NY, the daughter of David and Claire Carlson Crawford. Lori was a part-time secretary at Kings' Heating & Sheet Metal, Inc. in Falconer. In earlier years Lori worked as a legal secretary at Lombardo, Sellstrom and Burgett, and also at Burgett and Robbins. She was a long time member of Panama Baptist Church where she served for ten years in the Awana program, and also served as a Deaconess. She will be most remembered for her deep love for, and care of her family. Lori is survived by her husband, Terry R. King, whom she married on June 7, 1980, in Panama, NY; her two daughters, Erin (Matthew) Carnes of Lakewood, NY, and Shannen (James) Colton of Ashville, NY; her parents of Ashville, NY; her three sisters, Vicki (Jerry) Costantini of Jamestown, NY, Linda (John) Lawson of Charlotte, NC, and Wendy Crawford of Jamestown, NY; her aunt, Betty Anne Guignon of Myrtle Beach, SC, and her two grandmothers, Betty Carlson of Lakewood, NY, and Audrey Crawford of Jamestown, NY; her three nieces and her seven nephews. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Martin Carlson, her paternal grandfather, Warland Crawford; her great Aunt, Ann Peterson; and her uncle, Larry Guignon. Friends are invited to call at the Lind Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 Wednesday. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, at Panama Baptist Church. Rev. Dr. Charles Colton and Rev. Andrew Cook will officiate. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Ashville. The family suggests memorials be made to Panama Baptist Church, PO Box 188, Panama, NY 14767.
