Obituary of Janet E. Allison

Janet E. Allison, 67, of 310 Weeks St., died at 2:02 p.m. Tuesday November 24, 2009, in Hamot Medical Center, Erie. A Jamestown native, she was born October 1, 1942, a daughter of Marion and Viola Strand Griffin. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Anderson Screw Products and earlier had worked for Jamestown Sewing Company. She enjoyed shopping, working puzzles, traveling and watching people. She enjoyed her Cocker Spaniels especially "Abbey". Surviving are her husband Robert Allison, whom she married July 3, 1987, children Roberta Allison, Jody Crissman and Donald "Skip" Joslyn all of Jamestown, Jim Crissman of Wisconsin and Scott Joslyn of Ashville, a step daughter Michelle Allison of South Dayton, fifteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren and two brothers Leo (Elizabeth) Griffin of Jamestown and Marion "Skip" (Peggy) Griffin of Frewsburg. She was preceded in death by her first husband James Crissman in 1965 and two brothers Richard and Donald Griffin. A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Lake View Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed.
