Obituary of Paul A. Johnson

Paul A. "PJ" Johnson, 70, of Baker Road Ashville, died Sunday (November 22, 2009) in his home. A lifelong area resident, he was born May 29, 1939 in Jamestown the son of Arthur R. and Elsie Roth Johnson. Paul was a United States Navy Veteran, and for 43 years, was employed as a machinist at MRC Bearings. He was also involved in car racing and was always building something, especially Sprint Cars. Surviving are his mother of Lakewood; a daughter, Stacey (Daniel) Uriarte of Victorville, CA; three grandsons, Daniel, David, and Benjamin; two brothers, Donald Johnson of Lakewood; Bryan Johnson of Jamestown; a sister, Barbara Johnson of West Ellicott; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tim and Ron Johnson. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements are by the Lind Funeral Home.
