Obituary of Ronald P. Johnson

Ronald P. Johnson, 72, of 517 E. 2nd St, died at 7:07 p.m. Tuesday November 17, 2009, in WCA Hospital. A native of Warren, PA, he was born March 6, 1937, a son of the late Russell and Elda Pratt Johnson. He was a 1955 graduate of Jamestown High School and attended Columbia University. Prior to his retirement he was employed as captain of security for Bush Industries for 10 years. He earlier had worked as an office furniture salesman for Matthews and Robertson and Days Commercial Stationary. He also worked for his brother at Johnson Masonry. He loved his grandchildren and his cats. He always enjoyed working outdoors. Surviving are his wife the former Jean Kuczek, whom he married April 4, 1964, a son Michael (Stacy Panebianco) Johnson of West Ellicott, a daughter Melissa (Michael) Komula of West Ellicott, three grandchildren Kylle Andrew Johnson, Andrew M. Komula and Anneke R. Komula, all of West Ellicott, two brothers Russell L. (Gloria) Johnson of Jamestown and Rodney (Dew) Johnson of Bemus Point, a sister Suzanne (the late Jan) Feenstra of Flower Mound, TX, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Carol and Bill Joyce of Mooresville, NC and a cousin Cathy Sadlowe of Jamestown. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter Lindsey Johnson. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Michael Komula will officiate. Friends will be received from 6-9 p.m. Thursday and for one hour prior to the service Friday in the funeral home.
