Obituary of Letha M. Brawdy

Letha M. Brawdy, 94, of 2133 Southwestern Dr. Lakewood, NY died at 6:00 a.m. Sunday (November 15, 2009) in W.C.A. Hospital. An area resident for most of her life she was born February 19, 1915 in Warren, PA a daughter of the late Francis and Clara Cole Olson. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who loved to watch birds and enjoyed the flowers around her home. She was also an avid reader and loved going to the Lakewood Memorial Library. Surviving are her husband George Brawdy, Jr. whom she married April 12, 1952, a daughter Marilyn Alexander of Ashville, NY, a son Dennis Hagg of Stow, NY, 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her first husband Carl Hagg, two sons Richard Hagg, Craig Brawdy, two brothers and two sisters. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Timothy J. Hoyer, pastor of the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Lakewood will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
