Obituary of Samuel Moyous

Samuel "Sammy" Moyous, 81, of the Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility formerly of 189 Willow Ave. died at 3:28 p.m. Wednesday (August 19, 2009) in W.C.A. Hospital. An area resident for the past several years he was born December 5, 1927 in Sacramento, CA a son of the late Apaminontas and Panagiota Drimona Moyous. Samuel participated in the Senior Adult Day Habilitation Program and also helped out at the DeMarco Sisters School of Dance. He will be remembered as one who loved to listen to music, dance, do crafts and loved to play bingo. He also loved to bowl, go on picnics and gardening and will always be known for his infectious smile that would light up the room. He also took great pride in helping other residents whenever he was able. He is survived by his loving and caring family at the Resource Center and by the family he shared his home with and cared for him. The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Douglas Penhollow will officiate. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed.
