Obituary of Warren G. Bolling
Warren G. Bolling, age 84, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on Chautauqua Lake on July 26, 2009.
He was born in Sheridan, NY on December 12, 1924. The son of George F. and Florence Bolling, he served three years in the US Navy during WWII, seeing action in the Philippines, New Guinea and Borneo. Prior to his retirement he was employed by the Jamestown Telephone Company (Alltel) for 33 years. Mr. Bolling was a member of Mt. Moriah Lodge #145 F &AM for 52 years. He was also a member of Ira Lou Spring Post #149 American Legion and a founding member of the Telephone Pioneers. He took great joy in spending time with and providing for his family by whom he is greatly cherished.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Berdina M. Bolling and his brother, Norman Bolling of Florida. He is also survived by his son Eric Bolling (Debbie), daughter Kristen Gorbach (Chris) and grandchildren Andrew Bolling (Suzanne), Lauren Bolling and Meredith Bolling.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother William Bolling.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in New Creation Assembly of God (116 South Main Street, Jamestown). Pastor William Blair will officiate. Inurnment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. in the Lind Funeral Home where a Masonic Lodge funeral service will be led at 6:45 p.m.
