Obituary of Elna B. Steinhoff

Elna B. Steinhoff, 93, formerly of 376 Broadhead Ave., died Tuesday July 21, 2009, in Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing. A native of Denmark, she was born April 18, 1916, a daughter of Alfred and Gerda Hansen Billgren. She had been employed by the former Jamestown General Hospital in the housekeeping department. She was a member of Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church. In earlier years she enjoyed various hand crafts and making things for people. Surviving is a sister Elaine Agnello of Jamestown and several nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Steinhoff, whom she married January 1, 1947, and who died in 1952, a daughter Beverly Steinhoff and five brothers Borg, Willy, Leo, Andrew and Paul Billgren. The funeral will be held at 1 PM Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Kiantone. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service Friday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
