Obituary of Emma M. Nalbone

Emma M. Nalbone, 101, of the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of 87 Barrett Ave., died Friday June 19, 2009, in WCA Hospital. Coming to Jamestown in 1916, she was born February 14, 1908, in Anita, PA, a daughter of Vincent and Josephine Sperlisa Brunacini. She was a communicant of Holy Apostles Parish SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, Catholic Daughters of America, Earl Morley Post 1036 Auxiliary WWI Veterans from 1964 to 1992, having been a past president, Ladies Auxiliary to Veterans of WWI, Self Help for the Hard of Hearing, Speech and Lip Reading Group and SS Peter and Paul School Mothers Club. Surviving are three Children Carol Van Epps of Annapolis, MD, Dr. Vincent Nalbone of Jamestown and Peter Nalbone, Jr. of Mount Holly, NC, fifteen grandchildren Gena Van Epps, Valerie Thomas and Susan Mohr of Florida, Dr. Vincent Nalbone of Las Vegas, NV, John Nalbone of Denver, CO, Dr. James Nalbone of Delmar, NY, Dr. David Nalbone of Valparaiso, IN, Patricia Lindquist and Steven Nalbone of Jamestown, Michael Nalbone of Phoenix, AZ, Michelle XXXX of XXXX, Mary Jo Skinner of Duarte, CA, Catherine Richardson of California, Andrew Nalbone of Mount Holly and Peter Nalbone II of Pennsylvania, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, two sisters Rose Warden of Jamestown and Della DeMaio of Williamsville, NY and two brothers James Brunacini of Albuquerque, NM and Joseph Brunacini of Jamestown. She was preceded in death by her husband Peter J. Nalbone, whom she married June 23, 1928 and who died December 19, 1969, two sons Charles and John Nalbone, two sisters Rose Brunacini and Mary Rix and four brothers Samuel, Charles, John and George Brunacini. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in Christ Chapel of the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be received in Fine Dining of the Lutheran Home following the service.
