Obituary of Donald Marchincin

Donald Marchincin, 74, of 617 Spring St, died Tuesday May 5, 2009 in Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing. An area resident most of his life, he was born June 11, 1934, in Houtzdale, PA, a son of the late Steve and Elizabeth Hudak Marchincin. He graduated from Woodward Township Schools in Pennsylvania and was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1954-1956. Prior to his retirement in 1993 due to disability, he was employed by Afro-Lecon Watson Manufacturing and earlier had worked for Malleable Iron. Surviving are his wife the former Gloria Waite, whom he married November 23, 1963, three sons D. Mark (Wendy) Marchincin of Kiantone, Thomas (Tamara) Marchincin of Rochester, NY and James Marchincin of Troutman, NC, four grandchildren Colin, Tyler, Kiara and Jason Marchincin, a brother Norman Marchincin of Bordentown, NJ and a sister Marlene Marchincin of Indianapolis, IN. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers John, Steve and Edward Marchincin. The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home.
