Obituary of Philip Scott LaTone

Philip Scott LaTone, 40, of 3339 N. Main St. Ext., died Sunday August 1, 2010 in his home. He was born March 30, 1970 in Warren, PA the son of Anthony R. "Dick" and Rita Campman LaTone. Scott was a 1989 graduate of Jamestown High School and the VoTech auto body program. In earlier years, he was owner/operator of First Choice Auto in Jamestown, and had worked at various body shops in the area including Howard Industries in Erie, PA. He enjoyed golf, playing darts on several leagues in Warren, working on bikes and cars, and riding his motorcycle. His wife, daughters, and dogs were his greatest loves. Besides his parents of Jamestown, he is survived by his wife, Aimee Cederquist LaTone whom he married October 18, 1997; a daughter, Lakin Emily LaTone at home; two step daughters, Monica Marie Gassman of Falconer; Stormy Samantha Gassman at home; a brother, R. Todd (Christine) LaTone; a sister, Amy LaTone (Charley) Bonta, both of Jamestown; paternal grandmother, Genevieve LaTone of Jamestown; maternal grandmother, Helen Campman of Warren; in laws, G. Russell and Virginia Cederquist; brother in law, Darren Cederquist all of Jamestown; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Philip and Evelyn Campman; and his paternal grandfather, Anthony J. LaTone. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Melvin R. McGinnis will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
