Aunt Anna's thumbprint cookies became one of my favorite holiday cookies. When I bake them around Christmas, she is the one who comes to mind.
We express our most sincere sympathy and are thinking of you all in your time of sorrow.

Rita and Joyce,
I am sorry for your loss - who knew that our mothers would spend the last few days of their life only a few doors apart? Life offers many twists of fate - sending prayers your way.

I grew up on Barrows street and remember Mrs. Angilella as always being around to help the kids on the block with whatever they needed help with. She was a wonderful mother to us all. My sympathy to Rita and your family.

Aunt Anna was blessed with a long and wonderful life. I can imagine the conversation between her, uncle Lee, uncle Mike, aunt Nancy and my mother. You know the heavens are filled with laughter. I can hear God saying, keep it down kids your no longer deaf.
My thoughts are with you all.
Love Cousin Flo

When I was little, uncle Lee would come to the house and he would have a beer. After the beer was poured, he would say to me, "Anthony, go get the salt." and, he'd shake some salt into the beer. Soon after uncle Lee passed, I was in Jamestown visiting Aunt Anna and was telling her about the beer and the salt and, she said, "There's one of your uncle's beers left in the frig. Would you like it? That was so nice...so nice! Cousin Tony.

Aunt Anna was always so proud of her family. It was always a pleasure to sit and talk with her. She was never negative and had wonderful things to say about her children, grandchildren and greats. She and Uncle Lee were so kind to me after my mother passed. I will never forget how they opened their home and their hearts. I send you my very sincerest sympathy. You were so fortunate to have her for as long as you did. Loving thoughts are with you during this time of grief and heartfelt joy for the wonderfully full life that she led. I will miss her. Cousin Sandra

Ann was our landlady and we grew closer to her after Bob passed away. She loved my two small children, Natalie, aged 3 and Michael, aged 1 at that time. Michael loved tomatoes and she would take him into her garden and let the kids pick some and rinse them off with the hose and sit outside on the porch and eat them. She loved watching him gobble down those tomatoes! She was always a sweet lady!

Joyce and family: We are very sorry for the loss of your mother. Now that we have grandchildren in grade school it has brought back many memories of our childhood, especially for me with the ice skating and girl scouts and all of our outings. Both of your parents were always there giving us the support we needed.... wonderful memories. Thank you. Becky & Randy Bloomquist

Rita, I will always remember your Mom as such a welcoming person to your home and so willing to be a part of all that you were involved in at Jamestown High School. She seemed to always know the "proper" thing to do and carried it out with such confidence that she instilled that in me as well. Plus, she raised such a great daugher !!!! I am sad for you today, but know you believe as I do "thy will be done." I know she is resting in peace. Hugs to you and your family, Carol
