I just learned this sad news. I remember Tom well although I hadn't seen him in years. He was a sweet guy with a big heart and gentle, caring manner. So glad I had a chance to know him.

From the first time I met him only a short year ago, he had my heart! It was an honor to paint his garage door, and to see his face light up each day Marc and I added something new. I've never met anyone so Kind, Gentle, Loving, Caring, Thoughtful, Honest, Compassionate, Sincere, Funny, Generous, Understanding, Affectionate, and just plain GOOD as Tom. But, there really aren't enough words to describe him...I wish we all could have the real thing back! My heart goes out to his family, who courageously and lovingly cared for him through to the "end." His Spirit is free now to spread magic elsewhere, yet he'll always be with us. I will never, ever forget him!

A true friend and wonderful Uncle. I always knew I could count on him when in need. He came running when I had to put my dog Memphis to sleep and had no way to lift him into the car. The dog weighed as much as Tom, but he lovingly carried him like a new born baby to help ease his pain as well as my own. I will never forget his loving compassion. I will always cherish our conversations coming back from the VA in Pittsburg. We shared so many stories and my mind returns to them often when I'm on the road. Your welcome to ride along with me anytime Uncle Tom, I always need an extra Guardian Angel. You will always be Loved and missed.

Everytime he told me he loved me or was proud of me. He was a great father who was never afraid to say he loved his kids. I love the way he cared about animals and now he respected everyone. Just cant say enough about what a great man he was. Heaven has another Beautiful Angel!

What a Beautiful, Kind, Compassionate, & Loving Spirit Tom was and still is. I will never forget the time he & our Big Black dog Teddy played tug-o-war on the floor and Teddy dragged Tom way across the living room floor! Tom's Beautiful Spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
