Betty always treated me more like a brother than a brother in-law. During my younger days, filled with wanderlust, I would just pop in unanounced to spend the night or weekend and visit with my brother Tony and her and their children and always received a warm welcome with never so much as a cross look. The thought of her will always bring a warm feeling to my heart. All who have known her will miss her. May God bless her on her journey.

Betty will be sorely missed. She was a good friend and a second mother to a lot of people. I learned a lot from her. I haven't talked with Betty since she moved from Jamestown, but used to talk to her all the time. I learned a lot from her.
My deepest sympathy goes out to her family. May God help you all through this difficult time.

I have lost one of my dearest friends as well as a cousin. In my younger (more trying)years Betty was my guide. She was there for me. She understood me. She was my friend. As years passed and we moved apart we didn't stay in close contact however when we did meet it was as if we never parted. The loss is great and I will miss her terribly.

I have know Betty since my 18 birthday, in April of 1967, we meet as I was working with her sister Romaine at the time, as the years passed, I meet and worked with her sister Karen, when I was working at Unigard Insurance co, I was working at Richard C. Smith Agency and they hired Betty to come work, Dick referred to her as one of the Roman girls from Gerry,New York, one day while Betty was out for lunch, myself and another co-worker took phone calls from her sisters Karen and Romaine, as I sat working, the name Romaine Roman, kept running thru my head, and after she was off the phone from talking to her sisters, I joined her in the kitchen where she was getting a cup of coffee, I mentioned to her that I had worked with a Romaine Roman at the Big N, she went and got her pictures, that she always kept in her purse of her family members, and showed me a picture of Romaine, while it was the same Romaine that I had worked at Big N with, and the picture opposite was of her sister Karen, and she was the Karen that I had worked at Unigard with, its amazing how someone you meet when your 18, you finally meet again many years later,I am very great full for the friendship that Betty and every member of her family has extended to me throughtout the years. I will miss her very much.
Love, Sam

Betty was a very sweet person all her life. I remember going to her home and later, hers and Romaine's apartment in Jamestown for some really fun times. Karen, her sister, and I were "joined at the hip" in earlier years and I remember a lot of fun times with her and her sisters. God Bless you Betty, you will be missed very much.

"Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I and you are you. Whatever we were to each other, that we still are. Call me by my old familiar name. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference in your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without affect, without the trace of a shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same that it ever was. There is absolutely unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well". ~ Henry Scott Holland
I pray that these words will bring some comfort to Betty's entire family. Betty was a wonderful lady and I will never forget her kindness to me. All those who knew and loved Betty were blessed by God to have had her in their lives.

I have so many memories it would take me days to cover them all. My cousin Betty helped to raise me, along with the rest of her sisters and my great family. She was a big part of my life and the best friend I ever had. There was nothing and I mean nothing she would not do for her family!!!! One of the best memories I can share is when she baby sat for me on cross street and I came home for lunch and all I would eat is pork and beans, she would get so mad cause she would make me a nice lunch and I would not eat it I would only eat pork and beans, and lets not forget the famous line at Rhonda"s baby shower"Betty said" yes we all always listened to what Betty said. Will miss her always, love to all of you....

Mommy Long was a wonderful woman. I remember meeting her when I first started working at the Resource Center with Jody. (Jody and I had gone to school together and been friends before that), but had not met her mommy Long before then. She was a very loving and caring person with our residents in B-4..,and when I met her at Patsy's she became mommy Long a wonderful, beautiful, caring, fun 'n full of life person. I had not seen or talked to her since she left Jamestown...But I will always remember her as mommy Long and her beautiful smile and laugh because she was wonderful. God must of needed another angel because he took her to be with him. To(Jody especially),Daddy Long, Tony (my John boy)and the rest of the family...Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very difficult time. You are all wonderful people much love to you all from Mary Beth,Briitany Joshua,Carmen and the rest of the Pacheco family. If there is anything you need please give me a call. Love you..
