Obituary of Craig S. Territo
Craig Scott Territo, 47, of Boaz, AL, formerly of South Main St. Ext. Jamestown, passed away Thursday (September 9, 2010) as a result of a motorcycle accident.
Craig was born March 7, 1963 in Jamestown, NY a son of Paul J. and Dorothy E. Liden Territo.
He was a 1981 graduate of Frewsburg Central School and had been living in Alabama since 1987.
He was currently employed as a USDA inspector working for Pilgrim's Pride Poultry Plant in Guntersville, AL for the past 23 years. He had also worked at several USDA plants in different states before taking his job at Pilgrim's Pride. During his years in Jamestown he had worked for the Frank Bratt Farm and for Fairbanks Farms.
Craig was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother and special friend to many. He will be remembered as an avid race fan who loved watching NASCAR and drag racing. He devoted much of his time to the veterans of his community and was very patriotic. He also volunteered his time taking bike rides for veterans and for various cancer crusades. Craig was happiest in his life when spending time with his family, his dogs and riding his motorcycle.
Surviving are his mother of Lakeland, FL, his wife the former Sandy Ashley, a daughter Heather Territo-Macias (Juan) of Ohatchee, AL, a son Jeffrey Territo (Samantha) of Raeford, NC, four grandchildren Mya Territo, Brionna Territo, Xiomara Macias and Tyler Chavis, stepdaughter Stacy Ashley-Chavis (Jonathon) of Albertville, AL, a stepson Robbie Ashley of Manchester KY, three sisters, Paula Falvey (the late Thomas), Peggy Anzalone (Louis) both of Jamestown, Sue Territo of Lakeland, FL and a brother Mark Territo (Diana) of Ashville.
He was preceded in death by his father Paul who died July 20, 2010.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23rd in the Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church. The Rev. Rick LaDue, pastor will officiate.
