Obituary of Margaret Landy

Margaret T. Landy o 480 Baker Street, died Friday September 24, 2010, in her home. She was the daughter of the late Miller and Evelyn Tsitso. She was a 1937 graduate of Jamestown High School. She was employed by the former Automatic Voting Machine. She was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. A wonderful and devoted wife and mother she enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening, crocheting and fishing. She was an accomplished cook and baker who collected recipes and was always successfully preparing new foods. Surviving are three children Rebecca (Edward) Korcyl of Bemus Point, Daniel Landy and Gary Landy, both of Jamestown and a brother Alex Tsitso of Waterbury, CT. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph J. Landy, whom she married September 21, 1947 and who died March 23, 2007 and a brother George Tsitso. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Inurnment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
