Obituary of Dorothy Elizabeth Territo

Dorothy Elizabeth Liden Territo, 82, of Lakeland, FL formerly of South Main St. Ext., Jamestown, passed away Sunday (September 26, 2010) in Lakeland FL. A Jamestown NY resident for most of her life, she was born in Jamestown on September 16, 1928 a daughter of the late Donalf G.A. and Ruth Hanks Liden. She was a 1947 graduate of Jamestown High School. While living in Jamestown she had worked for the former Woolworths Department Store, the former Chautauqua Dairy, Flowers by Denny and was associated with her husband Paul in the operation of the former Brass Rail Restaurant. She was a former member of the Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church, a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for over 50 years and the Thule Lodge # 127 VASA Order of America. Dot will be remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother who loved to entertain and socialize with her many friends and family. She was also an avid reader and loved to cross stitch, enjoyed knitting, crocheting watching and feeding the birds as well as traveling and sightseeing in the car. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. Surviving are three daughters Paula (the late Thomas) Falvey, Peggy (Louis) Anzalone both of Jamestown, Sue Territo of Lakeland, FL, a son Mark (Diana) Territo of Ashville, NY, six grandchildren Heather (Tony) Terrrito-Macias of Ohatchee, AL, Jeffery (Samantha) Territo of Raeford, NC, Stacy (Jonathon) Chavis of Albertville, AL, Robert Ashley of Manchester, KY, Nicole and Charles Territo of Jamestown, four great grandchildren Mya and Brionna Territo, Xiomara Macias and Tyler Chavis, a brother Richard (Rosa) Liden of Glendale, CA and a sister Frances "Midge" (the late B.A. Wimp) Peterson of Haines City, FL. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Paul J. Territo with whom she celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on March 17, 2010 and who died July 20, 2010, a son Craig Territo who died September 9, 2010 and a brother Donalf "Butch" Liden who died July 5, 1998. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 20, 2010 in the Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church. The Rev. Rick LaDue, pastor will officiate. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the church on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the Hazel K.
