I am so grateful for having the opportunity to have Karen in my life. It is appropriate to light a candle in her memory as she was a light in my life. Karen was such a positive person who persevered during her battle with cancer until her time on earth was done. Because of her courage, she will forever be my hero. Karen's light will be with me always.

Karen was one of my dearest friends. We grew up together and remained very close until graduation. There is so much to recall and fondly remember. One thing I will never forget was when she forgot to turn off the spare ribs, they burned to a crisp and her parents had to fumigate the house as a result! I can almost smell it now... unforgettable! Karen, I loved you as much as any friend could. Travel the heavens well, my friend, and I will one day see you again. Peace.

I remember Karen as always having a good time. She was one of the hardest workers. Helped build my dad's garage. She will be missed. Wish we had been in touch more but got to be her friend on facebook this summer so did talk some.

Where to begin? Karen was a large part of my childhood - out on the lake, making syrup, forcing us to try brussel sprouts. I really didn't realize how much I missed her and I'm very sorry we didn't keep in touch. Karen, thank you for everything.

I idolized my big cousin Karen when I was a child, then she became a great confidante, and we were dear friends as adults. In her last few months she embodied the definition of bravery and stands proudly in my memory as my hero.
