Dearest Aunt Mary, I am so, so sorry to be so far away but my thoughts and heart are with all of you. Much love to you, Melissa, Steve, and Bob. I just received the sweetest message from Betsy telling me how special the service was today and how wonderful it was to be with our family. I wish I could be there to give you the biggest hug ever! I miss and love all of you! Love, Molly (Flynn)

Mary,
My deepest condolences to you and your family.
I worked at Quality Markets in the early 70's as a cashier. Todd always treated me with respect and kindness. Through the years when seeing him in the store, he was always a bright presence with his smile and pleasant greeting.

One of our fond and appreciative memory of Todd was after the auto accident of our daughter, Kathleen. We were spending 10 hours a day, 5 days a week to help Kathleen and her boys. Todd decided he could help give us some relief. Two days a week, he would come up to get the boys up, supervise their breakfast, pack their lunches and get them to their school bus on time. You will never know how much that was appreciated. Thanks, Mr. Gokey!

Todd is my step-fathers younger brother so I always thought of him as cooler than my father. My eyes would light up when I saw him ready for a hunt with his "six-shooter" pistol straped to his side. I will never forget the times when he would get out his N scale train set. My heart goes out to Aunt Mary and the children.

You will be sadly missed my dear Uncle :( I remember the wonderful relationship you had with your children and your wife. I always smiled when I saw you walking with Aunt Mary everyday, you were deeply loved. You loved my Mom's Santa cookies ;) and she would complain that you took the cookies that took the most work but I could see the smile on her face and see that she was pleased. You were a fixture in my childhood home, stopping by often to have coffee and eat cookies. You took my photo when we were camping, I had big boots on to walk to the restroom in the rainy weather......you laughed about that. Give Dad a big hug for me.........I will see you again someday in a better place.........RIP Todd.

My thoughts are with the entire Gokey family, my second family. Having spent many nights there I learned what a wonderful family man Mr. Gokey was and how much his children respected, admired and loved him. He will be missed greatly by all. Walking into the brick house on Old Fluvanna Road will bring back many fond memories of him. Love and prayers to all of you.

I grew up and lived on Houston Ave with Todd and his family. I used to "baby sit" Todd and Bruce. Todd spent a lot of time at our house with my Dad, Ernest Leet, who set up a little work bench area in our basement for Todd to "build things" on. Todd was such a cute little guy and we all loved him. My heart and love are with you all at this sorrowful time.

I remember Todd as a little boy and as a neighbor of ours. He adored my father, Ernie Leet, and would come down and follow him around as he did his chores around the house. He was adorable and we all loved him! May he rest in peace.

Fond memories of our dear friend-a man admired for so many reasons and especially for his ongoing search to acquire knowledge about VHL. He tried to always do things the right way.
He lived life with few complaints no matter what "hand he was dealt." We will miss him and his cheerful ways very much. It is so sad to say "good bye" to our friend.
Our prayers and love go out to Mary and Bob, Steven, Melissa and their families.
