Obituary of Olga Cady

Olga Sisak Cady, 86 of Sherman, NY died Friday, October 15, 2010 at the home of her daughter in Jamestown. She was born in Albion, Pa on June 20, 1924 to Nick and Anna Kastycz Sisak. Olga loved bowling, gardening, canning, sewing, baking cookies for her family, friends and granddaughters and her dear dog, Jackie. She was a member of the American Legion, VFW Auxiliary of Mayville amongst other affiliations. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle E. Cady Sr. who died May 16, 2010; a son, Merle (Mick) Cady Jr.; two brothers, Steve and Frank Sisak; a baby sister, Olga and sisters Helene Schabbehar, Anne Calvin and Grace Peters. Survivors include a daughter, Sandra (Kurt) Elander, of Jamestown, NY; three granddaughters: Robin Elander of Ventura, CA, Jill Elander of Dunkirk, NY and Kerri (Travis) Anderson of Findley Lake, NY; a grandson, Micaleb Anderson of Findley Lake; a sister, Betty Wright of Girard, PA; three brothers: Mike (Jeanne) Sisak of Solvang, CA, William Joe (Mary Lou) Sisak of Erie, PA and George Sisak of Fairview, PA; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may visit with family for a celebration of life Sunday, Oct. 24th at 2 pm at the Morse Hotel, 133 W. Main Street in Sherman, NY. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm followed by refreshments. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Sherman Fire Department Box 524, Sherman, NY 14781, Chautauqua County Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
