Ralph was the last of my cousins in the US and we have been in contact since Ralph and Helen visited "the old country" in 1974. I particularly cherish the memory of our visit to the US in 1987 and the warmth in Ralph's voice when he introduced his cousin frpm Sweden. We had a tradition of calling at New Year, when we had entered the new year while it was still the old one in the US. When there was no response this time we found out that Ralph had passed away. We miss him and remember the good times we had together.

I was married to Bob Janson who, along with his father, Carl Janson worked for your Dad and Paul at Jamestown Blower. I have often thought of your family and I am sorry for your loss as well as the loss of your Mother in 2006. Your parents were kind and generous people and my family benefited in many ways from their generosity. My oldest daughter, Pam now 51 years old, was the happy recipient of many of Rebecca's clothing when she was a baby. I still have and often use the beautiful serving platter your parents gave to us as a wedding gift. Sadly, Bob and I divorced in 1972 and Bob passed away in 1998 with our youngest daughter, Beth Ann and me at his side in a hospice facility in West Palm Beach Florida. May you hold wonderful memories of your parents in your hearts forever. Carol Janson Donahue

Dear Mark and Becky,
Tom and I were in NYC and did not know of the loss of your dad until we returned. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Tom's parents have surely missed him being downstairs and Tom's dad has lost a longtime friend. Our girls will miss him too they always loved Ralph and were happy to see him when they were home visiting Grandma and Grandpa. I have many great memories of both your mom and dad as wonderful neighbors but especially the summer your dad and I live trapped a mother skunk and 8 babies by baiting the trap each day with chicken and peanut butter. The whole family was successfully relocated out of Allen Park.I am so sorry for your loss, Tom and I and our girls will remember him fondly. Sue

Dear Becky and Mark
I was so sorry to see of Ralph's passing. Obviously, it is a huge milestone for all of us to lose the"old gang"
I have many, many found memories and lots of great laughs with your parents. They were both good friends to Marilyn and Don but also to me. It is sad to see that era end....but as you both know "they are all up there together....Gussie and Marilyn dancing the two step and Ralph and Don sitting "kabitzing...yada...yada...yada"
Hope all is well for you guys in Florida.
My best..Dan

I was sorry to see Ralph's passing in the P-J. I always enjoyed running into him, however infrequently. Always fun to talk to and reminisce about growing up around Allen Park. Prayers for you and the family.
