Dear Jeff:
I'm so sad to hear of your mother's passing. She was such a lovely person. I will always remember the visits of "Cousin Jeff" & "Cousin Esther" to our home in happier days. They were such fun people and an inspiration to me. They were always very proud of you. May you have the comfort of many wonderful memories.

I didnt know Esther too much, I was her nurse on 3rd shift when she was here at Heritage Park with us....She was a very sweet woman, always saying thank you, and telling me to have a good day...I will miss that the most....she will be missed.

Dear Jeff, Marybeth and Sean. My wife, kids and I send our deepest sympathy to you during this time. Aunt Esther made a great impression on me as I was growing up; her passion for the many activities she undertook in Jamestown and Lakewood were inspiring. She was the first from our family to become a teacher, and I know she helped my sister Wendy to follow in her footsteps. Many of us are clearly indebted to her in that way. She was an intelligent and graceful person, as was Uncle Walt, yet she was also very down to Earth, with a great sense of humor. I will miss her. May she rest in peace.

My heart is with you Jeff. There are many many unforgettable moments. I guess one most favorite is being in you mom's kitchen watching her cook and playing with alllllll those salt and pepper shakers. I loved it. And I love and miss you

Jeff - You are in my thoughts at this sorrowful time. Your mom was a perfect example of how teachers should present themselves. Nurturing and caring were positive attributes that I always think of when remembering her.

The best memory is of us visiting (even when I was in college at Fred) and there was a 10 course breakfast prepared and served with a smile, laughter and just Aunt Esther's love!
The world was a better place because you were in it. You will be missed

Mrs. Huestis was one of the best teachers that i ever had. There are a few that you remember in our lifetimes and she is one that will always have a special place in my heart. She was a teacher that took time to know all of her students, she was loving to all of us. I will always remember when i was sick and she came to my home every nite to see how i was doing. God Bless her family for they have lost a wonderful mother, grandmother, and most of all a wonderful friend.

I have fond memories of Mrs. Huestis as my 1st grade teacher in 1956 at Glidden School. I remember going outside to the playground at lunchtime and in the winter my dress would get wet from the snow, so she'd have me stand on this big floor grate in the hall that would be blowing out heat, until my dress was dry. I didn't mind, I liked it, my dress would be billowing out & I'd be spinning around!
I just noticed she was born 38 days before my mother (2/19/1918) and passed away 36 days after my mother (9/28/2010)!
May you all find comfort in your many memories of your mother, grandmother & great grandmother, and all she meant to you! With Deepest Sympanty!
