Obituary of Lynn DeCastro

Lynn M. DeCastro, 34, of 78 Forest Avenue, died Sunday November 14, 2010, in Jamestown. A native of Jamestown, she was born September 2, 1976, a daughter of Joseph and Barbara Southwick DeCastro. She was a 1994 graduate of Jamestown High School and served 2 years in the US Air Force having received training as a surgical technician. She had been employed by Big Lots and earlier by the Resource Center. An avid outdoors person she enjoyed fishing. She will be missed by her entire family especially her nieces to whom she was very close. Surviving besides her parents of Jamestown is a sister Marcel (Stephen) Madonia of Jamestown, a brother Jody J. DeCastro of Hamburg, two nieces Alexis and Hannah Madonia, both of Jamestown and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by grandparents Francis Southwick, Shirley Keys and James and Josephine DeCastro. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Falconer. Memorials may be made to Samaritan's Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
