Obituary of Nettie J. Bailey

Nettie J. Bailey, 67, of 410 Water St. Warren, PA passed away Sunday (November 21, 2010) in the Hamot Medical Center, Erie, PA. A Warren, PA resident for many years she was born December 2, 1942 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late Roy G. Wells and Vera A. Newbury Wells Nelson. She was a graduate of Panama Central School and before her retirement she was employed by Emergycare of Warren, PA. In earlier years she had worked for the Rouse Home in Youngsville, PA. She will be remembered as a loving and caring person who was devoted to her family. Whenever someone needed something she was always there for them. She also loved her animals, was an avid reader and loved to watch movies. Surviving are two sisters, Mary A. (William) Wells of Ashville, NY, Shirley (Ray) Sloniger of Punxsutawney, PA, two step-sisters, Harriet (Hershel) Anderson of Hampshire, TN, Judy (Nicholas) Mariani of St. Augustine, FL, a step-brother Gerald (Candy) Nelson of Hohenwald, TN. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Virgil C. Bailey, Sr. whom she married April 12, 1994 and who died October 18, 1999, her step-father Rudolph J. Nelson, five brothers Jay W. Wells, George L. Wells, Roy A. Wells, twin brothers Edward C. and Edwin C. Wells, a niece Michelle L. Wells Lewis, and two nephews James Sloniger, Andrew Nelson. In keeping with Nettie's wishes there will be no funeral service or visitation observed. Memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2820 Strunk Rd.
