Obituary of Virginia W. Ruszczyk

Virginia W. Ruszczyk, 79, formerly of Buffalo, NY passed away at 10:40 a.m. Sunday (November 28, 2010) in the Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born November 14, 1931 in Lackawana, NY a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Kozielecka Szewc. Before her retirement she was a medical secretary and administrative assistant for Our Lady of Victory Hospital in Lackawanna, New York. Surviving are her children, Darlene (Mike Kam) Evan, Sandra (Bill) Duncanson, Diane Smith, Sharon Ruszczyk, Gary Ruszczyk, her daughter in law Dawn (Gerald) Pence, 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, a brother Richard Szewc and 3 sisters Bernadette Cebula, Dorothy Piskorowski, Loretta Kukoleca. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank J. Ruszczyk who died July 28, 1993, a son David F. Ruszczyk, 2 brothers Edwin Szewc, Adolph Szewz who died during the invasion of Normandy on D Day, and two sisters Jane Delecki, Carrie Maglich. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 4, 2010 at the St. Vincent DePaul Roman Catholic Church, Seneca St.,Spring Brook, NY. The Rev. James A. Walter pastor will be celebrant. Inurnment will be in the Marilla Cemetery, Marilla, NY. Visitation will not be observed.
