Obituary of Lois M. Yerico

Lois M. Yerico, 80, of 2232 Big Tree Road in Lakewood died Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Memory Garden. She was born July 24, 1930 in Brookville, PA, a daughter of the late Oscar and Edna Lyle Harp. Lois was the wife of Modesto Charles Yerico, whom she married May 28, 1950. They lived in the Dunkirk and Fredonia area for many years, including Chautauqua Road in Fredonia from 1960 to 1972. From 1983 to 1992 they resided in Oneonta, NY and moved to Lakewood in 1992. Lois was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church and the Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers. In addition to her husband, surviving are four children: sons, Anthony Yerico of Fredonia, NY, Robert (Betty) Yerico of Hamlin, NY, Joseph (Deborah) Yerico of Forestville, NY and daughter Patti (James) Korwin of Sedgwick, KS; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary (Craig) McMahan and Nola (Dick) Sowers and two brothers, Wayne (Olive) Harp and Doyle (Betty) Harp, all of whom reside in Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Milton and Cecil Harp. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 11th in the Lakewood United Methodist Church. The Rev. Violet A. Davidson will officiate. Inurnment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Sheridan, NY. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the church Saturday.
