Obituary of Lonnie E. Graham
Lonnie E. Graham, 58, of 35 West 12th St. passed away on Saturday (December 11, 2010) in the Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo, NY.
A lifelong area resident he was born May 20, 1952 in Corinth, MS a son of the late Willie Calvin and Ilean Walker Graham.
He was a graduate of Jamestown High School and earned his associates degree from Jamestown Community College.
In earlier years he had worked for the City of Jamestown Board of Public Utilities, Water Department for 17 years and later was a substitute teacher for the BOCES Program.
Lonnie was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church.
He will be remembered as a loving and caring father, grandfather, brother and uncle who loved working on classic cars. He also loved to hunt, fish and spend time camping with family and friends. He was known for his passion for the New England Patriots and Boston Celtics and spent several years coaching for the Northside Warriors of the Jamestown Midget Football League.
Surviving are his four children Melinda Graham, Crystal Graham, Willie Graham all of Jamestown, Angelica Graham of Buffalo, eleven grandchildren Imani, Nalaa, and Jalil Selik, Patrick, Nyren, Aliya and Andre Graham, Lebron Fisher all of Jamestown, Jacob Graham of Cleveland, OH, Aryanna Treacy of New York City, Nikki Flores of Buffalo, two brothers Ronald L. and John L. Graham both of Jamestown and eight nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents Leavoy and Sallie Mae Walker, his Uncle Sam L. Walker and a grandson Nasser Colvin Graham.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Emmanuel Baptist Church. The Rev. LeRoy Walker, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home.
