Obituary of Sheila A. Stearns

Sheila A. Stearns, 74, of the Frewsburg Rest Home, died Wednesday December 15, 2010, in WCA Hosptial. A native of Jamestown, she was born June 6, 1936, a daughter of the late Daniel and Hazel Irvin Moynihan. She was a 1954 graduate of Jamestown High School. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Jamestown Public Schools as a teacher's aide at Persell Middle School. She earlier had worked for Warren Radio. She was a communicant of Holy Apostles Parish Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Surviving are four children Jeff Stearns of Frewsburg, Michael Stearns of Jamestown, Donald Stearns of Russell, PA and Kelly Stearns of Baltimore, MD; three grandchildren Megan, Taylor and Justin Stearns and a sister Kathy (Ray) Carlson of Jamestown. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Jerry Moynihan. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Dennis W. Mende will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
