Obituary of Kristen E. Meekins

Kristen E. Meekins, 29, of Ithaca, NY formerly of Bemus Point, died Sunday (December 26, 2010) in her home of complications from an auto accident in 1998. She was born February 5, 1981 in Framingham, MA the daughter of Scott and Paula Meekins and Eileen and Frank Turner. Kristen was a graduate of Maple Grove High School and attended Jamestown Community College. She loved animals, writing poetry, and spending time with friends and family. Surviving are her father and step mother of Bemus Point; her mother and step father of Vance, SC; a brother, Kraig Meekins of Bemus Point; three sisters, Kimberly Meekins of Bemus Point; Rene (Gary) Coston of Lunenburg, MA; Rebecca Berger of Clinton, MA; and her paternal grandmother, Lamona Meekins of Bemus Point. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Betty and Pat Kavanagh; and her paternal grandfather, Willard Meekins. The funeral service will be held at 5 PM Sunday January 2, 2011 in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Daniel G. McBride will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 PM Sunday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 1645 West 8th St., Erie, PA 16505-5097.
