Obituary of Bruce D. Comstock

Bruce D. Comstock, 62, formerly of Jamestown and Florida, died Friday, December 31, 2010 at the Legacy Care Center in Williamsville, NY. He was born in Jamestown on January 25, 1948, the son of the late Emil and Bessie Russo Comstock. Bruce was an Air Force veteran serving during the Vietnam War. While in the service, he was a member of the 604th Air Force Band. Locally he had been employed by Maddox Table, Proto Tool and Anderson Screw Products and belonged to the Jamestown Municipal Band. Surviving is a daughter, Jolene (Jimmy) Motley and three grandchildren, all of Rossville, GA; a son, Bruce D. Comstock Jr.; and many cousins, including Steve Coan of Jamestown. He was preceded in death by his father in 1969 and mother in 2002. The funeral will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. John L. Kuhlmann will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home Monday.
